One of my midwest clients is seeking : Sr. Product Applications Engineer (Transformers)

Provides technical solutions to clients . customers in Power Transmission & Distribution as well as Power
Generation sectors. Actively participates in product development efforts. Acts as a technical liaison within
the various business functions, commercial teams and external customers including end user customers.
Assists the business leadership team to accomplish strategic sales and operations goals and objectives.
Offers product knowledge and applications to customers and Sales & Marketing teams.

Works closely with the development team to develop low cost and high performance electical products.
Focuses on technical details of customer specifications, cost and necessary data. Provides expert
resolution of issues and monitors integration of various activities. Works with Marketing to develop and
issue technical information about our products. Reviews technical customer specification system to
reduce errors and improve customer satisfaction. Personally participates and lead in solving particularly
difficult technical problems. Provides technical leadership in the Industry. 20 percent travel is required.

Required Education BSEE plus seven to ten years related experience. Demonstrated ability to conduct
statistical analyses including, sampling methodologies, technical and interpersonal project management
skills to practical operational problems and issues, and communicate process improvement study outcomes
in such a way that non-technical personnel grasp the core concepts. Possess Core and Coil design, testing
and validation of Power Transformers. Working knowledge of UL, CSA and IEER testing requirements.

Preferences : Master's degree in related technical field, plus ten or more years of specialized experience
in product development.
