Elect Instrum Eng BSEE NC $80-90 * 5 Apr 2008

One of my affiliates has a NC client seeking several PLANT Elect & Instrument Engineers with BSEE degree and 3-10 years experience for plants in both NC & SC.

The primary purpose of this job is to furnish knowledge and management skills for the oversight of the electrical and instrumentation group for the site. Technical oversight includes day to day operations and new project responsibilities.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY - Design, installation, and maintenance of all power distribution and instrumentation systems of the site to include PLC and DCS systems. Manage ISO9002 Calibration system for all quality critical instruments. Provide labor and knowledge to repair or replace instrumentation as needed. Maintain calibration instruments. Provide labor and knowledge to install electrical systems including three (3) phase 440 volt starters, conduit, and wiring for various chemical processing equipment such as agitators, pumps, etc.

Maintain electrical troubleshooting instruments Provide troubleshooting expertise as required General computer knowledge including SAP.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: BSEE or equivalent industrial experience Strong Industrial Instrumentation experience, specifically knowledge and experience with PLC and DCS systems Strong project management skills. Experience in Maintenance and Repairs to include repair techniques of all transducers used in instrumentation such as transmitters for temperature, pressure, weight, and level.

Understanding of industrial safety concerns/laws Knowledge of Electrical Code and Class I, Division 1 and 2 classifications Experience with variable frequency drives .
