SUMMARY: Seeking a specialized & leading production chemistry for our mfg
department. Resp for the mfr of key intermediate materials as well as projects focused
on product and process improvement, technical issues and production scale-up.

Assure adequate stock production raw chemicals and intermediates as scheduled in master
plan and upkeep of related equipment under good performance conditions. Assure all
production is in compliance with ISO and GMP regulations.

DUTIES Work on batch intermediate materials to maintain inventory of production.
Reduce costs and improve quality through technical improvement, validated methods and
reduced scraps. Act as technical representative and conduct group reviews of the product
and material qualities. Pre-test and review new batch incoming materials and smoothly scale
up to production.

Maintain facilities of chemistry area in a clean, safe, efficient and compliant manner. Provide
any supports to R &D projects before transferring to production. Ensure product availability for
next-step needs. Provide paperwork of all kinds of process validations. Maintain up-to-date
standard operation procedures . Act as a “fire fighter” to deal with numerous unpredictable situations.

EDUCATION: 5+ years chemistry education, MS is preferred, plus 5+ years industrial
experience of product development, method establishment and batch production .
Demonstrated applicable training with 2+ years experience in implementing quality systems
in the medical device industry.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: (Include minimum required and preferred skills
and abilities needed to perform the job) Knowledge of academic and professional chemistry
Knowledge of ISO, GMP as well as Quality Audit requirements Knowledge of safety & environmental
requirements Strong interpersonal and technical skills with an analytical collaborative
approach to problem solving

ENVIRONMENT: exposure to various organic chemicals including acids.
Occasionally noisy manufacturing area
