William Griffin has been a recruiter since 1967. His practice is primarily manufacturing, engineering, research and development, biotech, cosmetic and drug industry careers, personal care products, foods, confections, medical devices, medical electronics, GMP and validation, metal forming, high speed machinery, electrical controls, factory automation and control systems, semiconductors, chips, analytical and process instrumentation, plastic injection molding, film extrusion, compression molding, chemicals, polymers, ceramics, packaging and related machinery, architecture, engineering, fire protection, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, structural, developed over 40 years as of Sept 2007. Major functions include operations and plant management, engineering mgt, tech directors, design, quality, purchasing, materials, automation, robotics, vision systems, accounting & controllership, project engineers, distribution and logistics operns, facilities and plant engineering, construction, maintenance, energy management, sales engineering and sales/marketing mgt, business development, consulting, production and quality, 6 Sigma, and continuous improvment, in the Eastern US. What makes the difference is the quality of judgment that forty plus years experience can bring to the recruitment of any particular candidate for any particular company, no matter how specialized, nor where located, and the tools, resources, insights, personal connections with jobseekers and a private network of other recruiters from coast to coast.. plus the wisdom gained from those 40 years experience.. Another major difference is that his candidates resumes are seldom likely to be seen anywhere else, either from other recruiters, nor to have their resumes posted on any of the mega resume sites. His database contains over 1300 holders of PhD degrees. He generally does not search for positions paying less than $50,000 and does not generally recruit for fees of less than 25% of base annual salary on acceptance. He receives hundreds of resumes monthly, and retains only the very best for his numerous specialized databases. Of the several hundred resumes per month, 85% are college graduates. Over 20% have MS degrees or MBA degree. Secondary recruiting assignments exist in middle/upper management levels, operations, consulting, safety/security, environmental engineering, distribution systems, quality, reliability, test, accounting and finance, general management, business development, planning, sales/marketing from $65,000 to $200,000 per year, including some international jobs. He can source on language ability and has extensive contact with local Latin and Asian communities, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese, as well as Arabic, Dutch, German, Polish, Romanian, and Russian. He functions as a recruiter, and does not extensively MARKET candidates.The database of candidates which he maintains in order to satisfy client inquiries now numbers 53,500 persons, and with over 21,650 resumes on disc, coupled with 3725 detailed cover letters which elaborate on preferences, timing, location, industry, scope and magnitude, principal role and salary of the jobseekers who own those cover letters.
